True Beauty of the Heart

It is not outward appearance that captures my heart, but the mind shaped by wisdom and the spirit clothed in humility. A humble and contrite heart reflects the beauty God Himself delights in: “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise” (Psalm 51:17).

Charm and outward beauty may fade, but the woman who walks in reverence and meekness shines with a radiance no time can dim. As Proverbs reminds us: “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised” (Proverbs 31:30).

Such a spirit not only wins the favor of man but rests under the smile of God, for “the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the humble with salvation” (Psalm 149:4).

True attraction is found where mind, humility, and godly spirit meet—there, love is built on a foundation that will endure.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, teach me to see as You see. Guard my heart from being swayed by outward beauty alone, and help me value the spirit of humility, wisdom, and godly fear. May my own heart be humble and contrite before You, and may the relationships I pursue reflect Your love and truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen
